Hello from Emerald City Editing Monthly

Hi there. My name is Sam, and I’m writing this inaugural edition of Emerald City Editing Monthly. I’m the owner of Emerald City Editing, a small business based in the beautiful Emerald City of Seattle. The love of my city and community drove me to start ECE, to further connect and work with the independent businesses around me. I’m so glad you’re here, and a part of this community. I’ll be using this newsletter to send monthly updates about ECE and the new things we’re getting into. As I get ready to send this newsletter, it’s Halloween, I’m at a coffee shop in Upper Queen Anne, and a giant inflatable unicorn just walked by me. This is one of my favorite days of the year, and I’m feeling inspired about what’s coming next in the holiday season. ECE recently started a contract with an independent book publisher, wrapped a project copyediting a novel, and launched a newsletter! Although it’s Halloween and not Thanksgiving, I’m feeling very thankful and not at all spooked. I hope you eat some candy and drink some pumpkin beverages today. Happy autumn!
